Remove Ticks From Dogs – Quick 3 Step Process

1. Wear rubber gloves to safeguard your personal skin.
2. Get a set of fine tweezers
3. Put the tweezers horizontally round the ticks head and press the tweezers as close as you can towards the dogs skin before you close and grip the tweezers. This is to ensure you are grabbing the tick’s head and will remove it successfully from your dog. After you have gripped the tick, pull the tweezers upwards inside a steady, firm fashion. Don’t jerk or twist the tweezers otherwise you may cause the embedded part of the tick to break off and remain stuck inside your dog

How NOT to Remove Ticks From Dogs

For those who have heard how to remove ticks from dogs using a burnt match or petroleum jelly ignore them. They may do nothing at all other than simply aggravate the tick, possibly inducing the release of parasites. You also want to take care not to crush the tick while removing it for the same reason.
